Bobr Translate

Bobr Translate translates .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files across 36 languages with a quantized LLM running through llama.cpp with Metal acceleration — entirely on-device. The hard part isn’t the translation; it’s surgically swapping text inside Office Open XML while leaving bold, colors, hyperlinks, tables, images and charts untouched.

Built with a Rust/Tauri core and a React UI, shipped through the Mac App Store (sandboxed, notarized). For anyone who can’t paste confidential documents into a cloud translator, the whole pipeline stays local.
